Abeokuta – A three-day capacity-building programme on digital literacy and entrepreneurship for undergraduates and recent graduates from the Ogun Central Senatorial District commenced on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.
The training, a collaborative effort between the National Productivity Centre and Albarka Infrastructure Nig. Ltd., is sponsored by Senator Shuaib Afolabi Salisu Omoyayi, who represents the Ogun Central district and serves as the Chairman of the House Committee on ICT and Cybersecurity.
The event, which runs until Thursday, November 27th, is being held at his constituency office on Abiola Way, Abeokuta. It has drawn student leaders and participants from various faith-based and secular higher institutions across the senatorial district.
The programme is designed to equip indigenous youths with critical digital skills and entrepreneurial knowledge to enhance their productivity and employability.
Dr. Adebola was scheduled to facilitate the first day’s lectures, guiding the students through the initial modules of the curriculum.
Senator Salisu’s initiative underscores a legislative focus on fostering digital inclusion and youth empowerment within his constituency, directly aligning with his national role in ICT and cybersecurity policy.
